ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE ON THE PACE OF HUMAN CHANGE: FAR TOO MANY HUMANS STILL ARE LIVING FOR THE CITY ALL OVER THE WORLD (...AND STILL ARE GETTING HIGH...AND STILL ARE MURDERING ONE ANOTHER IN URBAN CENTERS ALL OVER THE WORLD) AS OF 2012
A simplistic way to view latitude and longitude is to envision a gigantic spreadsheet wrapped around Earth. Each cell in the spreadsheet has a specific address. Similarly, each location on Earth has a specific geographic address.
In the illustration below, each rectangle in a spreadsheet is called a cell, and each cell has its own unique address. A given cell's address is determined by where a column intersects with a row. In the graphic below, column D intersects row 4 intersect at point D4. In this illustration, the current or active cell's address is D4. Locations or addresses are plotted on a globe in a similar—yet, more sophisticated—fashion using positions of latitude and longitude instead of using the position of rows and columns in a spreadsheet.

Charting A New Beginning for Humanity:
The above discussion about plotting geographic locations on Earth provides a fitting segue into a discussion about charting a new 21st-century beginning for humanity. The following videos offer more testaments of hope. The following videos illustrate that it is possible for humans from diverse backgrounds to work together and rise above the mediocrity. The following videos illustrate that it is possible for the human species to realize a Saturn-like state of existence on Earth, that is, if they have the will to make it so coupled with the necessary expertise. How do you obtain the necessary expertise? Whether artistic, vocational, academic, technical, general, blue collar, or white collar in scope, you obtain the necessary expertise by taking your school studies seriously beginning with the first grade.
Again, it popularly is stated that "no matter how much things change, certain things seem to remain the same"—or, do they? Time will tell if humans succeed in transforming Earth into an oasis of peace, beauty, and prosperity. Will the future Earth be like Heaven, or will the future Earth be like Hell?
The ants already have demonstrated to humans that one way to transform Earth into an oasis of beauty, peace, and prosperity is through the division and specialization of labor with all members of society having a role to play in the society's vitality. It turns out that humans can learn a lot from the lowly ant. Due chiefly to its organization, cooperation, and unity, the ant is one of the most successful and most resilient creatures in nature.
For, as the saying goes, "make love, not war". In other words, find ways to rebuild the world instead of destroying it. What is the future of the human species? Is it War or Peace? Heaven or Hell? Pastime Paradise or Future Paradise? Evil or Good? Unity or Division? Indolence or Industriousness? God or Satan? Religion or Science? In a roundabout or psychoanalytical sort of way, Sigmund Freud, who explored many controversial topics about human nature, showed humans that they alone control their destiny, fate, or future on Earth. Humanity is at the crossroad. The future to be is for humans alone to decide.
